Starting on 2 October 2009, the United States will begin accepting applications for the Diversity Visa 2011 Lottery, otherwise known as the Green Card Lottery.
For those who wish to live and work in the United States, the Green Card Lottery is a good opportunity as it does not require a sponsor such as a family member or employer. The application deadline is 30 November 2009.
Every Green Card Lottery applicant must have at least a high school education or its equivalent, or within the last five years have had two years of work experience in an occupation which requires at least two years of training or experience.
Both spouses may submit separate applications which can improve their chances of being selected.
Applying for the Green Card Lottery does not require the services of a migration agent or immigration lawyer. However, it is very important to have all of the details submitted correctly on your application, such as the format of the digital portrait of the applicants.
For a small fee, workpermit.com can help you make sure your application is in order. We have a US qualified lawyer on hand for added peace of mind when putting your application together. If you would like to use our services, please see if you qualify today.
The list of eligible of Countries is likely to be similar to last year's list. However, full details are yet to be announced.
